  1. How on earth did Everdell not make the list?!!?! Best art ever!! Great list though, guys!

  2. I really like Oceanos, "Giant" version of Takenoko, and Zombicide: Black Plague. I'm sure I have more, but that's what hits when I run my brain over my collection while I'm sitting here pretending to work. Oh, and Big Book of Madness! Oh, and almost every Fowers and Leder Game: Root, Vast, Burgle Bros, Fugitive…

  3. Yes yes! You used my suggestion!! Can I be an honorary Murph bros?

  4. Abyss is my #1 for sure. I fell in love with that game at first sight.

  5. I knew this was going to favorite newer games/art, but I will always love the vintage style of Bob Pepper who did the original art for Dragonmaster and Dark Tower.

  6. I'm so confused. What is this video? How did you not take another opportunity to evangelize Castell? 🙂

  7. any top art without PARKS is just … wrong 😋. PARKS is art itself.

  8. I ❤ bombyx games. What do you think of GARDEN NATION ? It s so beautiful.
I agree with you for BLOOD INN.

  9. Thank you, that was a really cool topic! As you said – the game mechanics might be so-so but if the art is great, you just love the game. For me, No1 is still Cthulhu: Death May Day because of its art, atmosphere – and, well, hot brawl 🙂

  10. Nice picz! I need to check out this Abyss game. I am curious to see a second list: to see if Everdell or Magic the Gathering makes your guys list

  11. Definitely Scythe, another example where the art/world building (by Jakub Różalski) inspired the game.

  12. Please tell me the next set is all art by Beth Sobel. Oh, and the original Iki art. And Etherfields (though, sadly, the game wasn't up to the art, but damn it sure looks great). And… and… so many!!! Great topic.

  13. Hi, this is a Cousin Murph. I would like to apologize for my kin. Their views are their own and don't represent the Murphy Clan as a whole. The family's official position is that the absence of Inis from this list renders it invalid.

  14. Great idea for a top 10! As an artist myself, the art in games matters so much to the overall experience. Not that ugly games can't be good, lord knows I have a,few of them that I love. But, the art is something that will immediately draw me in and get me to check out a new game.
Some of my favorites are Oath, Bitoku, Overseers, Jixia AcademyHanamikoji, The Red Cathedral, Sunset Over Water and the Rococo deluxe edition.😎

  15. Forgot Brass and Everdell

  16. Those are really nice looking games! But I'm more intrigued by the audio of this countdown. Is the sample used when we see the list numbers from a particular song?
(ps my #1 game for art is Ashes Reborn. 😊)

  17. Wingspan
    Magic the Gathering
Arkham Horror lcg a dozen other titles then maybe one or two of your picks
