✦ About the video
In this video I go through how I tried to create a game using nothing but AI Generated Art. I made it with Stable diffusion but could have made it with midjourney or Dall-E-2 The game was created in Unreal engine and as I am used to making games in 3D this was totally new for me.

Yo, I’m Jens and I’m a solo independent developer trying to make games and entertaining devlogs about how I make my games. I’m self taught in 3D modeling and game development with only some basic Java knowledge from university. I do this in my spare time as I work full time as an engineer so bare with me if my upload schedule is not as frequent as you (or I) would like it to be.

  2. You can make a game with Ai art only but you'd have to be smart about it you can also use image to image generation and make different variations of the same image

  3. Game doesn't look like the thumbnail at all 👎

  4. 0:59 a real gamer, playing league of legends with a controller

  5. Considering how absurdly fast the AI has been developing the past few month. I won't be suprised if there will the tools to automate that within half a year from now on :I

  6. Ok, my question is… why can you sometimes say GENERATE and then many other times you say YENERATE??? Or is it a feature, not a bug!?… 😎

  7. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣the thumb nail got me that wee wee fish 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😍

  8. i actually started doing this with dalle2 a month ago, i generate pixel art with it. its perfect

  9. Just seems to me like a useful tool for artists to use. You still need an artist to ‘fix’ a lot of the visibly AI looking artifacts on the assets if you want to use them for anything. But I could do that with gimp ez.

  10. I think you could make a /totally based/ VN entirely with AI-generated images of Shrek.

  11. yeah…. Hello. I've been testing Stable Diffusion in hopes of generating Bubble Witch-style vertical maps. I was very hopeful when I saw that he could even emulate styles of some artists after being trained. It was a complete disaster. Even the other features like uploading an image didn't help much. I agree with the other comments that at the moment it helps more for concept arts. I liked the video precisely because it shows this point. Congratulations.

  12. You could have used craiyon or dream by wombo.

  13. Reminds me of that game Jungle Hunt when the character is swimming under water 😛

  14. I'm going back to gamedev thanks to the AI revolution.

  15. bruh, excellent use of the schlatt and ludwig musical emporium music!

  16. I feel like AAA companies have been doing this for years, wouldn't surprise me at all they just copy paste

  17. We dont need artist we never did we only need creators and tools and ai is here to show us that in the world of art its not about drawing or painting its about creating something new and there hasnt been anything new in the art world for the past 500 years except for the tools and now the tools allow everyone to do something that every human could do anyway

  18. Looked more like Gary Coleman in a Shreck suit in an astronaut suit on mars.

  19. The still images now are pretty darn impressive. I've been able to create pixel perfect pixel art with some tweaking. If only I could figure out how to animate the sprites now without doing it all manually…
